She went from being a "disciplinary problem", and a "repeat 9th grader" to an "A B Honor Roll Student", Spiraled herself up to become a 10th grader, and is on track to enter the 11th grade at the start of next school year! This all happened in a matter of 2 1/2 months, since she has been placed in Private School. There are no gimmics, there are no short cuts, she has worked her hiney off, and I am just so proud of her! So, tomorrow, on a day that I have off of work anyway, and a day that she doesn't really need to be in school I asked her what she really wanted to do. And she want's me to take her back to Busch Gardens Williamsburg. So, that's where we'll be tomorrow, celebrating her accomplishments and having LOTS of fun! BTW, there's more to this story, but I just wanted to share the wonderful news with you all tonight! I have a meeting with a reporter who is covering the story of why the principal and other staff members were placed on administrative leave in early April. More about that story after Tuesday.

Posts: 288 Jun 10, 2008 05:55 PM	THANKS TBL & Texani!!!! We had a wonderful time yesterday. The great part is that literally NO ONE was at the park, there were ZERO lines for any of the rides! The bad part was that it was 101 degrees. So, we were partial to the water rides LOL! Even though my back was absolutely killing me, I did ride a few of the roller coasters and water rides with the kids. I took a few hours just by myself too watching some of the wonderful shows, that we never seem to have time to catch while we're there, so it really was a great time had by all of us. BTW, my daughter continues to amaze me.....she took two final (10th grade) exams today, and received a 97 on her Math exam (which btw she thought was her worst subject) and a 95 on her World History exam! We are so absolutely proud of her, and can't wait to see how she does on her other 4 exams over the next two days. On a side note, I met with the reporter today that I mentioned in the OP, and oh boy am I going to have some jaw-dropping news to share with ya'll real soon. I wish I could say more, but on a friend's advice I am recounting everything on paper, as well as waiting until the reporter publishes the article before I share much about it.

We meet again next Thursday, this time with a member of a Parental Support Group, who is knowlegable about the "what should have happened", "what went wrong", "what happened that shouldn't have" ect. I'm excited.
